In the movie While You Were Sleeping you will come across little chemistry, a bit of physics and basic biology mixed all together to give the audience a pleasurable viewing. It is the best example of enjoyable but unoriginal kind of filmmaking.
The movie’s story opens up with the voiceover as camera gives sights of Chicago as seen in modern days. Then you will also be introduced to Lucy, the narrator. She explains out there that life never seems to be like what people actually do expect from it. You will come to know about Peter Gallagher from her. She had her eyes on him for about last three months. From the mid of September, he has come to her booth everyday in the morning and brightened her day. This girl now is thinking of marrying the guy although she is not aware of who he is actually.
It is on the day of Christmas that luck intercedes. As object of romantic fantasies of Lucy waits on platform, the pair of muggers simply comes before him. As a result he loses balance and becomes unconscious ending up on railway tracks of approaching train. Lucy takes immediate action and saves his life. Then she accompanies him to hospital and when the nurse overhears the girl murmuring her wishes about marrying this man, it’s from then the misunderstandings start. The patient’s family is suddenly convinced that the rescuer of their son is his fiancée.
This movie is a pleasant one. It looks as if it was designed originally for the Christmas. Make it a point to watch the movie at the time of Christmas. You will really like watching out this flick. This is a romantic story that will be cherished in your mind for a long time.
The story has a bit more depth than it’s usual romantic idiocy. Lucy is a lonely lass and it is her loneliness that’s set up as motivation for her being the one to central deception. She acts as if she is the fiancée of Peter not because she wants to get married to him but because she is devoid of her own family and that siblings and parents of Peter are delighted in taking her to their fold.
It’s a wonderful movie. Romance between Jack and Lucy starts off late and has been developed sketchily. You will see that their relation isn’t especially very passionate but warm.
