Transylmania is one of the most awaited teen comedies of the year. Slated to have a worldwide release on 4th December, 2009, Transylmania is about new -age vampires who follow a different lifestyle. The movie is about a group of young students who has a crazy life at the Razvan University.
Situated in the cursed land of Transylvania, the Razvan University is different from the other learning institutes. The audiences will be excited to see a totally different university ambiance. There are no professors, no dean and no usual hustle. The movie is more of a comedy than horror.
Transylmania is a teen comedy full of life and laughter. The boys indulge in crazy activities. The beautiful girls party around and flirt with the boys and suddenly at midnight they turn into ferocious blood hunters.
Starring James Debello, Tony Denman, Paul H Kim, Patrick Cavanaugh and Jennifer Lyons , the movie holds on to comedy from the beginning till the end. Every half an hour the audiences are presented with some surprise events. The teenagers kept on indulging in a wide variety of adventures, the effect of which is comic rather than horrifying.
The audiences will find plenty of hilarious situations in the movie. There will be hardly any violence in the movie as expected from this genre of films. There is no main plot as such. The story revolves around the bunch of college students.
The lively college life is portrayed in a wonderful manner. Romance and teen affection are the most dominant emotions of the film. Consequently, the film is stuffed with plenty of sex scenes, which at times may seem unnecessary but not irrelevant. Depiction of female vampires is done in a wonderful manner.
Director duo David and Scott Hillenbrand are very careful and efficient with their work. The comedy may be a bit coarse but it successfully creates a light ambiance in the theater. This is a film, which will not scare you but will make you happy. Vampires were never so funny before Transylmania.
The actors gave their best while the technicians did the same as well. The plot gets complicated as the movie progresses. Comedy is the key to the success of the movie. It is not a usual horror story rather it’s a scary movie with a difference. Teenage fun is beautifully depicted. So if you want to spend some light moments with your loved ones, watch Transylmania at the theaters.
