The Yellow Handkerchief is scheduled to be released in the month of February 2010. This movie is the directorial efforts of Udayan Prasad, My Son The Fanatic’s director. Arthur Cohn is the producer of the movie. He has own the Academy Awards six times.
The movie has heavyweight actors such as Maria Bello, William Hurt, Kristen Stewart, Eddie Redmayne and other actors. Maria Bello was nominated for Golden Globe because of her brilliant performance and Hurt was the Academy award winner.
The movie is all about the three strangers meeting accidentally on the road trip and trying to reinvent their lives. Brett Hanson, Gordy and Martine are the three individuals being depressed with their present lives. Martine wanted to escape from her family. Gordy wanted to have a close relation with Martine and Brett wanted to escape from his past life.
The three strangers set out on the road trip after Lousiana and find out their relationship changing and simply taking a positive turn. The three strangers then start thinking to give a second chance to their lives. When they set out for the road trip, all three were disheveled and unhappy in their particular circumstances. With the progress of the journey, they start to think about the past and simply rediscover the inner self. At the end of the journey, they come out successfully of the lonely situations and start to see a new ray of hope in the lives.
Martine in this film has been portrayed as a troubled teenager who wanted to get free in all aspects of life. Brett needed to decide about his future. He was simply confused with his life. He didn’t know what to do—whether to start experiencing the life of uncertainly that he experienced all these days or find out some other way.
Gordy on the other hand wanted to make use of the road trip as an occasion to get closer to Martine. Three people having different reasons finally find out their answers that satisfy their confusions and queries.
The movie’s director has taken great pains in making the film a success. He has shown a humanistic and emotional approach for the movie. The way in which 3 main characters have coped up with their lives and circumstances will undoubtedly touch your hearts. The story is quite different from other romantic movies. It ends up in an optimistic note.
