The Wild Wild World of Jayne Mansfield is a movie full of life and vibrancy. The film portrays the life of a woman who loves indulging in all sorts of lavishness and fun. She enjoys her life to the brim and her sole aim is to keep herself happy throughout her life. In the movie, Jayne is found to be on her last world tour.
In the beginning of the The Wild Wild World of Jayne Mansfield, the audience is taken to the beautiful city of Rome. Though the movie lacks a strong storyline, but the picturesque locations are sure to win your hearts. The exotic locations of Rome in which Jayne wanders about are carefully chosen to match her temperament.
Direction is very simple. The scope of acting was very limited but still the actors did their best. The scene in which Jayne visits the nudist colony in the Isle of Levant is quite impressive. Slowly she gets herself initiated to the cult for attaining culmination of her life’s bliss. The character of Jayne is a symbol of material world. Love is a materialistic concept for people like her. Fulfillment of senses is where one can find the ultimate happiness.
Though critics have given trenchant comments for the movie and its actors but the audiences have very much liked the film. Sometimes success of a film not only depends on its story and screenplay. The names involved in the film also matter a lot. Jayne Mansfield is a well- known name among movie lovers. So the credit of the film’s success goes mostly to her.
When Jayne is in Cannes, she is found to spend her life in extreme comfort. She satisfies all her carnal desires on her trip to Cannes. The place where she fantasizes about Roman athletes acts as an evidence for her craving for ultimate material bliss in life. For life is god and she doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned to accomplish all her wishes.
Her urge to get a beauty treatment and her vivacity while dancing reveals the desires of her heart. She is someone who wants to look and feel good at the same time. She is touring the world not because she is a travel freak but because she loves to spend her time amidst happiness, comfort and fun.
A nice film for the young people who would love touring the exotic locations of the world. Surprisingly, the movie was released in the year 1968 but is still enjoyed by the audiences.
