The acting has been superb in this movie. All of the characters were pretty well. In this story you will come across selfish, weak people, who cannot control their feelings, even at cost of devastating life of another person.
It is the story of Caleb. After you watch out this movie, you will come across few contradictions in Caleb’s misogynistic attitudes for women at start. It is the story of two brothers. The young brother brings his girlfriend to his home in the day of Thanksgiving. The older brother’s heart has been broken recently and so asks his younger brother to be careful about the relationship.
The story seems to be very simple till now. But there is a twist in the story. It’s not as simple as it seems to be. The older brother himself gets attracted towards his brother’s girlfriend. The girl very much well knew about the outcome but still couldn’t resist the moves of Caleb because she wasn’t satisfied with her sex life with Peter the younger one.
Caleb calls the girl a whore several times. It was just an infatuation. So, it has been quite obvious that the relation was a temporary one. The question, which arises now, is that what was gained actually other than simply ruining lives of 2 people. After you watch out the movie, you can learn many things from here. The movie has been brought with brutal honesty.
This is a movie for mature people. Kids won’t enjoy this movie and there is actually nothing out here in this movie for kids. There has been a stylish study in character. The presentation of the characters to the audience has simply been awesome. Caleb is this movie’s true focus. The camera has wonderfully revolved round the character of Emma.
Our feelings for the character of Caleb constantly shift from loathing to bemusement to astonishment to admiration. The balance however, has been maintained cleverly in Caleb’s favor. Caleb has been the anti-hero of this movie but has been loved by all the viewers.
Krieger has been able to create a memorable personality in the movie. You will simply cherish the characters once you watch the movie. It’s a movie worth watching. The actors have put the best of their performances in the movie. Adam Scott and Brittany both were superb in the movie.
