From the producers of Legally Blonde, watch movie, The Ugly Truth, a 2009 romantic comedy from Colombia Motion Pictures. Written by a team of three women, this movie follows the life of Abbey, a romantically challenged morning show producer, beautiful, yet single. She is in for a rude shock when her boss threatens to close down her show due to the low ratings. However, Mike Chadway can help. Mike Chadway is a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth of what makes a man die for a women and how the two tick. Abbey and Mike strike a deal; if Mike succeeds in getting Abbey the man of her dreams, Dr. Colin, she will happily work with him, else Mike will quit the job.

The Ugly Truth while, squandering the on-screen talent, perpetuates the image of career women as harpies with nice clothes and no dates. The movie with some sharp thrills is vaguely for a woman to learn to bend a little and appreciate the hunk in her midst. Aside from being relational science fiction, watching movie, The Ugly Truth felt like a hundred year out of date. The script was mostly clinically based on the topics of masturbation and genitalia and raunch. If you want to watch movie, make sure you are not doing it with your children.

Movies like “27 Dresses” and “P.S. I Love You” too were female centric, but they did make a mark. But, The Ugly Truth is far from being inspiring. Directed by Robert Luketic and written by Karen McCullah, Kirstein Smith and Nicole Eastman, the movie is better watched when you have nothing better to do.

My review about the movie might just be totally opposite to what the mymovee viewers of this film had to say. They really found the movie funny and entertaining trail of gag.
