The movie Teenage Dirtbag is quite authentic. The portrayal of moments of ups and downs of a high school bears relevance of general happenings. From the very start, Teenage Dirtbag deals with student life. Thayer gets highly obsessed by Amber. It is not very long that Thayer’s obsession turns into a nightmare for Amber when Thayer does not leave any chance to haunt and harass her. Their differences melt away when they join a creative writing class but still Amber doubted her feelings towards Thayer. The complexities of their relationship start when Thayer’s broken family background and cruel father tries to bring immaterial determinants in their friendship. The fabulous teenage movie depicts an unreciprocated yet hypnotic love theme between Amber and Thayer. The direction as well as the script is praiseworthy for the reason that they successfully created a unique and original storyline. With a simple and straightforward plot structure and complicated yet fascinating theme of love and friendship, the film has been quite successful in pleasing the audience.
Though director Regina Crosby has not used many characters in the film, they carefully interwoven in a well-knit plot. The central characters of Scott Michael as Foster and Noa Hegesh as Amber deserves praise for their credible acting skills. With both sad and happy sequences, Teenage Dirtbag is sure to achieve laurels with the passage of time. The movie very successfully gets the message across that no matter what situations one face in life, love will be there to stay!
