Shutter Island is a thriller movie. It is based on a novel with same name written by Dennis Lehane. The very name of the movie reveals the fact that the movie is all about an island. The movie initially was scheduled to be released on the month of October in 2009. But however Paramount Pictures decided recently to push back its release dates for some reasons.
Martin Scorsese the director accepts the fact that the movie has influences of the movie The Trial. It was a 1962 movie. It was an adaptation from one of the novel of Franz Kaffka. The movie’s plot is quite interesting and simple. The story of the film is set in the year 1954.
Two US marshals were appointed by authorities to investigate the reason of disappearance of hospital inmate. There may arise a question in your mind that how could such a simple event become so interesting. Here comes a twist in the movie. The person who has been put into question or rather inmate of hospital is a criminal. He has in fact fled from special asylum meant the convicts.
The movie gets quite interesting with terrible depiction of movie itself. The movie posters depict all about Shutter Island that’s dark with little light and resembles the fort. The director makes audience retain their interest in the movie by making use of certain twists. When audiences find out that the escape is simply none other but the female convict, the plot undoubtedly starts to get interesting from that stage.
Starring Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Max Von Syndow, Leonardo Di Caprio, Michelle Williams and other actors, Shuuter Island is the film that’s worth watching. The movie opens up with Chuck Aule and Teddy Daniels being brought to the remote island for investigation. The place where the insane hospital is located is strange and is highly secured. The authorities were actually not able to understand how murderers escaped asylum high walls.
Mark Ruffalo and Leonardo Di Caprio were brilliant in their roles. The movie has good amount of thrills, adventure and unexpected events taking place. Leonardo performs the role of a young US Marshall. He gives a great performance. The teddy’s face expression and Chuck’s comfortable attitude make the situation a wonderful one.
The viewers slowly will start to realize the seriousness of the even and will then find themselves engrossed in the story. You will surely love Massachusetts coast.
