The movie Percy Jackson the Olympians the Lightning Thief is a movie, which falls in the category of fantasy-adventure. So, if you are fond of watching such flicks you should definitely watch out this movie. It is film, which haven’t released till yet but will be released soon on February 12, 2010.
Starring Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T.Jackson, Pierce Brosnan, Rosario Dawson, Steve Coogan, Kevin McKidd, Catherine Keener, Ray Winstone, Uma Thurman and Joe Pantoliano, the movie is amazing. The viewers are bound to like the movie.
The movie has a unique storyline. It is not like the other fantasy-adventure that is basically having a stupid plot. Once you watch the movie, you will feel like watching the movie again and again. So, when this movie releases this year on the month of February, don’t miss it. You van book your tickets from beforehand. If you wish to, you can also watch the film by renting or buying a DVD or watch it online.
The movie depicts the twenty-first century. The Mount Olympus gods as well as the assorted monsters have walked out of pages of Greek mythology books of Percy Jackson, (a high school student) and to his life. They are not quite happy. Lighting bolt of Zeu has simply been stolen and Percy is actually a prime suspect.
The thing that may trouble the viewers the most is Percy’s mother’s sudden disappearance. As Percy feels himself to be caught between battling gods and angry, he as well as his pals embark on cross-country adventure for getting hold of true lighting thief, save mom of Percy and unravel the mystery that’s more powerful than gods themselves.
The movie is based on Rick Riordan’s first novel of his series. The story of the movie revolves all around a twelve-year-old boy named Percy Jackson. The movie becomes interesting when he finds out that he Poseidon, the Greek god’s son. He discovers this at a time of the field trip to the museum in the city of New York.
In this movie, Logan Lerman wonderfully plays the character of Percy Jackson. Uma Thurman plays the role of Medusa perfectly. Rosario Dawson has also put a great performance as Persephone. Other actors such as Kevin McKidd, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean and Steve Coogan have also put a great performance.
The director Chris Columbus has really put extra efforts for making the film a success. Craig Titley is the screenwriter of the movie and has penned the story excellently.
