Made for each other released in the year 2009 is a beautiful romantic drama. The film is all about love, marriage and the beautiful relationship between a husband and his wife. The film delineates the story of Dan, who after spending 3 months of sexless married life is swept off his feet and dragged into a sexual relationship with a woman. Dan enjoyed every moment of the experience only to realize the next day that he has cheated on his wife.
Love blossoms between the young couple with Dan trying to wash off his sin and his wife trying to satisfy him. After the incident Dan feels very guilty. He wants to tell his wife everything but suddenly realizes that it could create great trouble in his married life. Soon he comes to a conclusion where he decides that because he has cheated on his wife, she has every right to do the same. Thus Dan begins his search for the perfect man whom his wife can make love to and in turn take revenge on him. Dan executes the entire plan without his wife’s knowledge.
The film deals with the problems faced in real life. The situation, through which Dan is passing, might have been faced by a lot of individuals. The only difference is that Dan at least tried rectifying his deeds and others have hardly given a thought to the incident. It is a film, which shows a repentant husband, trying to make his marriage work. The importance of sex in marital life is also emphasized but the director has been very subtle in conveying the message that love is what matters in a relationship. Physical relationship may seem very important at times, but feelings and emotions are the basis of the relationship between a husband and wife.
The film stars Bijou Philips, Christopher Kennedy Masterson, George Segal and Patrick Warburton in the lead roles. There is a perfect blend of comedy and emotions in the film. The best thing about this movie is that it is a film, which can be watched with your family as well. The film inculcates moral value in your children and adults also learn to cope with depressing situations in life. The film is said to be one of the sweetest movies of the year.
