If you love holiday movies here is another big treat for you. Directed by Peter Lepeniotis, Jamie Waese, and Jin Choi, Gotta Catch Santa Claus is yet another lovely Christmas movie. An animated movie, the film stars Nathan Stephenson, David Berni, Lisa Lennox, and Cory Doran. The movie opens up in the mid of October and follows a twelve-year old Trevor in an attempt to prove the existence of Santa to the skeptics.

William Shartner provides the voice of Santa in this classic, sharply animated new CGI holiday movie from Lionsgate. Trevor, a brainy chess club whiz is the main character of the movie. He is a believer while his friend Veronica is a skeptic, who doubts the existence of Santa. It is then that Trevor decides to not only prove the existence of Santa but also catch him and arrange a press conference declaring his existence.

Unaware of Trevor’s attempts, Santa himself is planning for his yearly around the world journey from the North Pole, distributing toys to small girls and boys. As the story progresses further, we see Santa dealing with his arch enemy and the bad guy of the film LeFreeze, who is a frozen giant and an ice monster who suffered Santa’s grievance at some point in the past and has come back with the grudge to take revenge against Santa. In his attempt to take revenge against Santa, LeFreeze is assisted by three snowman hunchmen. He is the only villain in the movie and the one who is shown to shoot snow out of his hands, roaring angrily at the same threatening Santa and the kids.

The movie will be quite pleasing and worth watching for the entire family. We personally enjoyed the movie with our whole family. The songs are quite pleasing, the animation both amazing and resilient. The sequence where we see the kids’ attempt to prove the existence of Santa is very exciting.

The movie is more like a holiday version of Jimmy Neutron. The movie gives the message that there is a point when science is not correct in totality and that magic has an important place in a child’s life. As a perfect holiday and family movie, parents can talk to their kids about science and magic, myths and legends in our culture, drwing reference from the movie. There are sequences in the movie that can enable to teach your kids some important lessons. Santa eats junk food and is shown as troubling with certain physical activity. This itself shows how junk foods affect our health. There are also confusing messages when we see Santa eating junk foods such as donuts. Trevor seems quite like a role model. The portrayal of the friends is quite adorable.

The movie is about 66 minutes long. Though not too lengthy it is quite successful in entertaining the interest of the audiences, especially the kids. Along with a pleasant beginning, middle, and ending, the movie has some good musical scores as well.
