Making his comeback after a long break, Mel Gibson appears as the protagonist in the movie Edge of Darkness. He plays the key role of Detective Craven who had been solving cases in the city of Boston for a long time but life takes an unwanted turn when he finds his daughter dead on his doorsteps.

As soon as he starts investigating his daughter’s murder case he soon realizes that his daughter had never really told him the truth about what she was doing with her life.
He soon finds out that she was working for a nuclear company that is under contract from the American government. After he meets the snobbish CEO of the company Detective Craven is sure that there is something fishy in here.
As things unravel for the detective he also realizes that there are a lot of people dying as the government or the company are trying to hide behind something.
There movie has a lots of positives such as an excellent plot, great acting from all the characters including a star performance from Mel Gibson. However, if you are not too keen on watching violent movies then you could give this a skip. There is a lot of violence in the movie but that is also because there are some breathtaking action scenes in it as well.
So, if you enjoy action thrillers then this movie should be on your must watch list.
