IMDB Review
Release: 26 March 2010
Fantasy – the genre has so much scope for visual and artistic representation that film makers are automatically drawn to such stories, often based on books. The Clash of the Titans, a fantasy movie set for release on 2 April, 2010, is however, not based on a book but on an older film that was released in 1981.
Both the older version and the current one are based on the character of Perseus found in Greek mythology.
Perseus is a child of the gods that happens to be raised by humans whom he forms a deep attachment with. Hades, the god of the underworld, (and the villain of this story) decides to defeat the powerful Zeus and take over the Earth so he can turn it into an extension of hell.
Perseus on hearing of Hades’ mission decides to do what it takes and fight the evil god in order to save his human family. To this end, he puts together a band of soldiers and sets off on the dangerous mission which sees him navigate through forbidden realms.
Perseus can only taste victory when he accepts and acknowledges his own godlike nature and decides to take on his own destiny.
Sam Worthington portrays the character of Perseus while Hades’ role is played by Ralph Fiennes. Liam Neeson plays Zeus.
This Warner Bros movie has been directed by Louis Leterrier and also casts Alexa Davalos, Izabella Miko and Mads Mikkelsen among others. It’s been produced by the trio of Basil Iwanyk, Richard D. Zanuck, and Kevin De La Noy.

I’ve been waiting for this remake for about 10 years! I just hope that its not diluted with unnecessary sex seens.
