Green zone has not got the best of reviews ever since it has come into picture. The movie is said to have too much of political messages and is very boring. In most cases a movie can be saved if edited but this movie cannot even be saved by a session of re editing. The movie has a different effect because it is shot in the handheld camera mode. This helps once in a while but mostly gets irritating. The movie chose a very touchy topic. When a person is making a movie about Iraqi wars, it better be good but this one obviously fails to live up to the standard.

Paul Greengrass has made an inefficient movie with inefficient performances. The fact is that Paul has spent a lot of time at United 93 and this was why the expectations of the movie goers was so high. Paul is not successful at bringing out the story without being bent towards one side or as we put it biased. Sadly the opinions about politics and overly dramatic talking ruin the left story line and threaten to kill the watcher. The goals of the movie are surely not met. It is sad to see such a potent subject being delivered so badly.

The story is basically about CIA agents who are looking for certain weapons. The movie is loosely inspired by “Imperial life in the emerald city”. The only highlight of the movie is Matt Damon but he also fails to deliver n most parts.

Tim Burton’s movies are always something to look out for. With his take on Alice in Wonderland Tim promises to take the cinemas one step higher. The curious images and the curious trailers do nothing but intrigue you and make you want to watch the movie. All the characters are well picked. The Tim Burton – Johnny Depp pair have always come up with interesting offerings for the cinema lovers. Tim Burton has said to have given each character a new look because he was not impressed by any of the characters in the other adaptations.

The story revolves around Alice who is now nineteen years of age and has returned to meet all of her friends. Alice is played by an Australian actress Mia Wasikowska. In this movie Alice must find her fate and is also entrusted with the major responsibility of ending the Red Queen’s supremacy. Depp plays the role of Mad Hatter opposite Wasikowski. Burton claims that his characters are all mad but they also come with certain depth that was not present in the previous adaptations. The trailers and the posters are all eye candy with colors as no one could have imagined.

The effects are brilliant no doubt however it was hard work to create them as the effects had been discarded about 3 or 4 times! This meant a lot of hard work went down the drain. Burton Has ensured that nothing looks unrealistic in the movie and it’s hard to tell what real and whats not. So finally, if you don’t watch this movie, you are missing out on one of the biggest contributions to the cinema.

Brooklyn’s finest does have a lot of stars in it but at the same time it has big shoes to fit into after a series of cop movies like The Departed, righteous kill etc., Antione Fuqua just seems to be trying to get back his fame by attempting a movie whose script has been frequented, the case of the corrupt cop. The only difference is that this time around the movie doesn’t have only one cop who is in the corrupt line but three of them. The three cops are Eddie played by Richard Gere, an officer who works for the narcotics department Sal who is played by Eathan Hawke and Tango who is played by Don Cheadle.

Sal is shown to be stealing some of the drugs just so that he can bear the expenditures of his wife and son. The characters are rather depressing and the movie slowly degenerates from mildly depressing to unbearably depressing. Eddie seems to have just one expression on his face all the time and Sal keeps whining about how small his house his and how badly he needs space. Tango on the other hand has not much of a role. Don can hardly do a bad job but with a bad script nothing can be done. It’s surprising he accepted the role.

There’s also Wesley Snipes who plays a role as a leader of a criminal gang. This role is not well written again but Snipes has done his part well and looks promising. The movie is a drag and a torture.

Directed by Pierre Morel and starring the young Jonathan Rhys Meyers and the charismatic John Travolta, From Paris with Love, is an amazing action film all set to release in the year 2010. Luc Besson and Adi Hasak wrote the screenplay for the film.

David Buckley composed the background score of the film. An official trailer of From Paris with Love was released in the month of September 2009. From then action lovers are eagerly awaiting the release of this amazing action flick.

John Travolta has always been a favorite action hero. The young Meyers complement Travolta in every way. The combination of two deadly actors is the sole reason for the popularity of the film. The movie has a simple yet gripping plot. It can be best described as a Euro-American political tie up venture. The film begins where we find John Travolta working as an American spy and Jonathan Rhys Meyers working for the office of US Ambassador. These two fellows hook up to save the city from a dangerous terrorist attack.

The release of the trailers was enough to make the Travolta fans realize the potential of the film. John plays the role of FBI agent named Charlie Wax. He is dynamic, handsome, very intelligent and ready to face any challenge in life. Throughout the film we find John fighting, shooting and busting on for some special mission. The fate of Paris is in the hands of our two protagonists. Travolta plays the role of a high-ranking intelligence agent with much élan. Rhys Meyers is also outstanding in his performance.

When two actors combine their performances with a not so strong script, the outcome is splendid. The film is quite predictable in nature but the audiences will love the way in which director Pierre Morel takes the film. His approach is super cool and the feeling of patriotism lurks somewhere underneath. The best thing about the film is that it is never monotonous. It has all the ingredients required for the making of a successful commercial film.

The film will surely impress the audiences with its wonderful visual effects and simple treatment of subject. The director is specialized in taking simple stories to a great height. And that is what has happened to From Paris with Love as well. The film ends on a happy note with the audiences coming out of the theaters feeling good and satisfied.

Starring Radha Mitchell, Timothy Olyphant, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, Preston Bailey, Lisa K Wyatt, Breet Wagner and Larry Cedar, The Crazies is one of the most awaited feature films of the year 2010. The film is a remake of the 1973 movie having the same name. The 2010 version of The Crazies is directed by the famous Breck Eisner. Scot Kosar and Ray Wright have written the screenplay for the film. The plot of the film is very similar to that of the 1973 version. The audiences are assured to have a nice time in the theaters.

The plot of the film is very interesting. If you have already watched The Crazies (1973), you will have no problem in understanding the story. If you are watching the film for the first time then also you will find the way of narration unique and interesting. The main theme of the plot is destruction caused through biological weapon. The director tried portraying the terrible aftermath of war.

The film is set in a small town of America. The inhabitants of the small town face a strange problem due to the war. An aeroplane carrying a bioweapon crashed somewhere in the city as a result of which the water supply of the town gets infected with a very dangerous virus. The virus Trixie either kills the victim or makes him homicidal. Throughout the film the director showed how the main characters were trying to fight against the epidemic, which spread like lightning throughout the city.

The main characters are firemen David, Clank and the beautiful Judy. Their struggle for existence is the main plot of the movie. The ways in which the three main characters try to escape from the virus infected town can be seen in the film. Judy will be found pregnant with David’s child as a result of which David becomes more careful about her safety. The director has also intertwined human emotions and other facets of human life along with the main theme of the plot.

Clank’s secret liking for Judy and the political aspect of the war is also given due importance. When the soldiers begin to shoot down people of the city so that they are unable to escape out of the town, the scenario becomes scary. The audiences can very well feel the compulsion of the virus-affected people. When they commit suicide or are gunned down, you will also feel for their predicament. In a nutshell the film is a thriller worth watching. SO don’t miss it when it hit the theaters in your city.

Many people feel that this movie is a want to be “Rush Hour” type or even a want to be “The Last Boy Scout”. The movie is directed by Kevin Smith who has a huge fan following but has not done a very grand job with this movie. Bruce Willis can do a lot better than this and Tracy Morgan is his comic self. Another tentative title for this movie is “A couple of dicks” which needed to be changed in order to get a good rating. The movie is a comedy.

The story is about a cop Jimmy played by Bruce Willis, who is a detective and his NYPD partner Paul (Tracy Morgan). Both of them are on a trail of a stolen extraordinary baseball card. Finding this card is Jimmy’s only chance of sponsoring his daughter’s wedding. However the two find themselves up against someone totally unexpected. This gangster is not only heartless but is also a collector of souvenirs. The movie also shows that Paul is always occupied in his own thoughts because he suspects his wife of having an affair. This makes it hard for him to concentrate on his work and help.

Overall the movie is a onetime watch for all Bruce Willis, Tracy Morgan and Kevin Smith fans. It has nothing out of the ordinary or engaging about its script but is good for a few laughs. The idea of putting a white and a colored cop together sounds a bit too lame after all the brilliant movies like Rush hour and White men can’t jump.
