Watch the contemporary comedy drama, Away We Go- a story of a couple’s journey to settle down where their roots hold the strongest.
The movie is about a couple, Burt and Verona, played by John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph respectively who travel the U.S in search of the perfect place to settle down with the arrival of their new born. The movie shows the misadventures the couple encounter as they find fresh connections in the cocktail of family and friends.
The longtime couple-Burt and Verona are expecting a baby. In the smooth sailing pre-pregnancy, Burt and Verona are put off with the news of Burt’s parents moving out of Colorado-the one main reason why the couple were living in that city. The two begin discussing and planning which place to move to and finally settle down with their new bundle of joy. Both of them embark a list of family and friends to visit and evaluate cities. With umpteen combinations of misadventures, Burt and Verona realize that they must define home on their own terms and likings.
Rated ‘R’ due to language and some sexual content, Away We Go is directed by Academy Award winner, Sam Mendes. The screenplay is written by the husband-and wife pair, Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida.
Though the film is funny and touching at times, it could have been more entertaining if the team hadn’t tried making the audience laugh a bit extra. The rich, complicated and humane characters however, are brought to life in a very wonderful manner.
Watch ‘Away We Go’ which takes us through emotional twist and turns into a couple’s journey across America to find the perfect home.
