What happens when you wake one day to find that you are 17 again? Twenty years after his glorious teen years, Michael O’Donnell, the start high school basketball player, is no less a loser as his teenage kid thinks of him. His high school love Scarlett is history. At work he has missed the much expected promotion. Played by Zac Efron, Michael gets a second leash of life when he turns 17 one fine morning. Directed by Burr Steers, the movie also stars Leslie Mann, Thomas Lennon, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Sterling Knight.

You cannot stop yourself from laughing once you start watching out this flick. The movie’s story is obviously nothing very unique or original but still you will simply love seeing it. In this movie there are some seemingly stereotypical or ridiculous character setups. The acting and the direction have also been praise-worthy.

Most characters, especially Efron proves that he is definitely not a boy who wants to look pretty. He has some talent within him and has played his part pretty well. Matthew Perry slightly seemed misplaced. However, this doesn’t mean that if you go to watch the movie just because of this character you will be disappointed. There are many more elements stored in the movie that will make you enjoy the film.

Burr Steers has directed the film really very well. Steers wonderfully managed to balance the comedy along with the touch of drama in it and have been able to turn it into something worth watching. The performance of Efrom may blow you away. This boy in fact has been able to do a lot better than the Disney movies.

There have also been some negative sides of this movie, the writing lacked with regards to the relationship of Mark to his daughter. Daughter really did not seem to have that personality. The cinematography has not been of that standard. However, this is also true that it’s not that necessary to experience a good rated cinematography in a teen’s movie,

The movie is all about comedy and character development. There has somewhat been some interesting music choice. You would really love hearing them. This movie however can be termed as one of the funniest of its kind in this year. The character of Mark is praise worthy. He has been quite moving and a three dimensional one. You will really care for him if you watch 17 Again.

Overall, this movie has been written quite well. It has been hilarious and some characters have acted wonderfully. The direction part has been awesome. It’s genuinely a good movie, enjoyable and a moving one. The direction and the acting of the stars will surely surprise you. Just watch out this flick. It has been the impressive lead and the hard efforts of the director that has created a difference in the movie.

One thing for sure is that you will have no reasons to be disappointed with the acting of Zac Efron. The film is an entertaining one. Not only the main characters but also the supporting ones also strengthen the appeal of the movie.
