Watch 13 Going on 30, a comedy flick where a girl skips 17 years of her life to find herself in a 30 year old body. Directed by Gary Winick, the movie revolves around, Jenna Rick who is 13 and wishes upon being 30. In 1987, Jenna Rick celebrates her 13th birthday, wishing to be 30 to overcome her lack of popularity at school. On her birthday, Matt, Jenna’s best friend gifts’ her a doll house that he made, sprinkled with a magical wishing dust. Jenna is keen on joining the school clique “six chicks”. But when Lucy (nicknamed Tom-Tom), plays a practical joke on her and dashes Jenna’s hopes of joining the six chicks, Jenna gets real mad. Angry, she locks herself up in the closet where the doll house is and wishes on being 30. The magical dust from the doll house grants the wish and Jenna wakes up to find herself 30 year old. The calendar year has changed to 2004. 17 years have passed and Jenna has no clue of what happened. Jenna finds that she works for her dream company, Poise-a fashion magazine and Lucy now is her best friend. To her dismay, she has lost all contacts with her parents, Matt is engaged to someone else, she is having an affair with Tracy from the Art’s Department and has a bad reputation in office. Her co-worker suspect her of giving away idea’s of Poise to the rival company, Sparkal. Jenna gradually realizes that in the body of a 30 year old she has become neither trustworthy nor likable and tries to get back to Matt. After Jenna overhears her best friend Lucy, bitching about her to others, she is heart broken and misses her school days. This inspires her to return to Manhattan and after working together for several projects for Poise she once again becomes friends with Matt. Jenna prepares to revamp her magazine after arranging a photo shoot with Matt but soon gets a bad news–Poise is shutting down because the work she put on the prelaunch has been taken up by Sparkle and Jenna is responsible for betraying her company by leaking out information to the rival magazine. When Lucy learns this, she uses Jenna work as her own and accepts the position of Editor-in-Chief, similar to what she did when the two girls were in school. Matt is getting married on the same day and she begs Matt to call of the wedding. Matt however can’t. He takes out the doll house which he had made for Jenna 17 years ago and gives it back to her. Jenna leaves in tears wishing she can go back to the years she was 13, wishing it was 1987 again. Her wish is once again granted and she is in school. At a future date, Jenna and Matt are shown as a newly wed; moving into the dream house Matt had once built for Jenna. The movie stars Jennifer Garner as Jenna and Mark Ruffalo as Matt. The wicked Lucy is played by Judy Greer.
